The Coroglen Tavern is located in the heart of the Coromandel, between Tairua and Whitianga. A hotel was originally built here back in 1879, which then became a tavern in 1946, serving locals and tourists, as it still does now, in true New Zealand country style. These days the Coroglen Tavern transforms during the summer months into an awesome venue hosting NZ's finest musicians. The large outdoor stage area holds up to 1800 people and is weatherproofed by a heavy-duty canopy. It is fair to say that the Coroglen Tavern is well known for it's unforgettable gigs!

Food & Beverage Purchase

Buy your Coro Bucks now and avoid the queues!
To purchase food & drinks throughout the gig you will need to buy some Coro Bucks. These can be purchased anytime from the Tavern leading up to the gig, or on the night. Because of the need to purchase Coro Bucks once inside the venue and the large amount of Eftpos transactions taking place, solid queues are likely to form. To make it easier for you to get a drink, and relieve you from having to queue twice (first to buy your Coro Bucks and then again to get your drinks) we are now giving you the option of buying your Coro Bucks when you purchase your tickets online. 1 Coro Buck = $2, sold in $20 amounts.

It's easy, all you need to do is let us know how many you want and it will be recorded on your ticket. When you come to the gate we will give you the amount you purchased, then it's off to the bar!
Please be aware that no refunds will be given on Coro Bucks. You can however use these next time you visit the Coroglen Tavern.

Pass-Outs

It is the Coroglen Tavern's Policy not to allow pass-outs. Once you enter the venue, you cannot come and go. If you have an emergency situation please see one of the Coroglen Security Staff.
